Before submitting a price quote, here are the criteria that influence the production cost of a mural. Each project is unique and must be thoroughly evaluated and designed according to your budget. Also, keep an eye out for external funding options, as grants can reduce production costs. Here are some constraints we must consider when estimating a price. Because some surfaces need to be cleaned, primed, and absorb paint differently, costs vary. In addition to these factors, the size of each creation may necessitate equipment rental (scaffolding, safety harnesses, aerial work platforms, ladders, projector rentals, etc.), not to mention that size influences production time. The artist may travel to different geographical locations to create the artwork. For regional or international projects, certain travel and accommodation costs will be charged. A figurative, naive, abstract, or extremely realistic mural will require a very different execution time. Details of depth, plays of light and shadow, and textures (e.g., animal fur) demand more meticulous attention than silhouettes of a single color.
